When it comes to choosing a medical uniform, proper measurements are essential to ensure that the uniform fits perfectly and provides comfort throughout the workday. In this article, we provide you with some tips on how to measure yourself correctly and order a custom-made uniform. In this way, your uniform will be functional, professional and comfortable.
Before you start measuring, make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes, such as underwear or light pants. Take everything out of your pockets and stand straight, relaxed and natural to get the most accurate measurements.
To measure the chest, place the tailor’s tape measure on the most protruding and widest part of the toe of the chest. Make sure the tape measure is flat and snug but not too tight.
To measure your waist, place the tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist.
When measuring the hips, place the tape measure over the widest part of the hips – over the widest part of the buttocks.
To measure the leg length, measure from the crotch joint to the floor or to the desired length.
Measure the length of the sleeve from the top of the shoulder to the desired length of the sleeve.
Once you’ve determined and recorded all your measurements, check out our size guide to see if you fit a size already made, or send us your exact measurements and we’ll create the perfect uniform personalized for you.
